wanna talk abt the lil things in life today.
on this beautiful morning, i am in sch,
and a dozen diff things were in my head when i was on my way to sch.
*the things we take for granted*
(until the older generations reminded us)
banquet.
it's like a norm to us to go there right?
our "coffeeshop".
hawker fare, hassle free, aircon!
and tons of diff food available.
no dirty plates ard, hygienic and
no furry felines! (a relief for me at least)
so when we go there, we eat. and den go off. right?
sth made me smile the other day.
and i want to tell u guys about it.
my sis got sick and my mum was busy making kuih.
so my nenek offered to take her to the doc.
haha, see in our family everyone pampers everyone else.
no one goes to the doctor alone.
she insisted, so my sis agreed.
aft visiting the doc, my sis wanted to go eat.
so she brought granny to the banquet near our place.
(it's cheaper than the standard banquet prices u guys!)
so it was muy granny's first visit to banquet.
and boy, was she in awe.
she told me abt her experience like any other pri 1 kid
would tell their parents abt their first sch excursion to the zoo.
haha, she's cute like that.
and it made me smile when she told me that the thing she was fascinated
most is the bell.
u noe, when the food's ready, they'd ring the bell and inform u?
yea. so she plans to bring my mum to banquet so tt they can eat
fish n chips (her fav western food) and watch the vendors ring the bell.
haha. cuteness.
*celebrities*
(or sth like dat)
ok. so we swoon when we see our fav stars on tv.
and scramble to watch their concerts.
and stalk them when they visit singapore.
go to the airport, the hotel they're staying at.
but we can actually do the exact same thing anytime we want
without having to go to all that hassle.
don believe me?
ahaha. my granny and mum (again again!) do it best.
see, they get excited when they see local stars
(or wad i call just local people like u and me getting cheap makeovers
and appearing on tv for $50 for show) out in the streets
and get this - would actually, without fail, go up to them and
tell them that they're his/her biggest fans.
haha. even when in reality, when they first saw he/she on tv, they'd
criticise the voice, the clothes, the face, the personality.
ahhaa. but it changes when they meet the person.
then they'd swoon and swoon. ahaha.
yest was a good example. (thank goodness i didnt follow them along)
they were at a CC tryin to settle my late grandpa's geylang stall issue
then they met the recetly voted-out guy from anugerah, irwan sth sth.
yea, the one with the yellow hair and toga top.
so they went up to him. (right now, if u r normal, u'd go... oh my god)
and yes, they told him tt they're his biggest fans.
and they're sad tt he was voted out. (like real)
and they got really2 excited. if u were there beside me when they told me abt it,
u'd think they are giggly teenagers.
haha. my lil pleasures in life. thanks to the 2 women whom i see everyday.
i leave u guys with a convo of mum n me. (translated to english)
mum : he's quite gd looking! really. even with the hair. i forgot to tell him
tt he should dye it back, so tt he'll look better.
me : oh no, thank goodness u didnt do tt.
mum : but so exciting! to meet him.... i'm just sad tt i didnt do one thing tho.
me : wad's tt? ask for his autograph? u must be kidding...
mum : no la. call ur father to get out of the car and take a foto of me, ur nenek and irwan using his hp. sigh.
me: mak!
haha.
