credit cards and instalments

i don believe in the above,

except when it concerns exorbitant sums of money

like housing loan and stuff.

reason why i'm talkin abt this?

well, i'm gonna be given a credit card when i turn 21.

which i don want n i hope i won be given.

i don think i have a use for it.

i don go for branded stuff,

in fact, i go for bargains.

this also means tt i don shop at places where i cant do tt.

i rarely eat at places tt u can use credit cards too.

i mean, yes, like every other normal human being,

de idea of having a credit card is exciting.

that beats having a driving license.

but, aside from the feel good factor,

i juz see more negative aspects to it.

de feeling of shopping without using cash is of course wonderful.

but wait til de bill comes.

instalments.

esp by a certain furniture company.

plasma tv, big plush furniture sets.

esp since the festive season is coming.

the temptation is overwhelming.

with rates as low as a few dollars a month,

who wouldnt be swayed right?

it's scary to see ppl 'spend' away their monthly salary

to pay for all these instalments.

but easier said den done.

when i become a working woman (ahem) later,

i'm gonna try not to do tt.

money can make or break ppl and relationships.
